Sony UK have a new TR model on their website, the TR5MP: http://products.sony.co.uk/productdetailvaio.asp?id=10_181_6914 - basically looks like a TR2MP, but with a 1.1GHz CPU and a DVD-RW drive. Typically, this is announced less than 2 weeks after I finally take the plunge and splash out on a TR2. Grrrr

Same here :cry:  I bought mine just 2-3 weeks ago but I did manage to get it VAT free (to me anyway) so can’t complain.

The extra 0.1GHz is no big deal to me plus it still has only a 40GB HDD, but I would have liked the DVD-RW instead of a DVD/CDR combo drive.
