Off the TR for a moment, but I thought I would share my views on Sony’s DVD recorder (Sony RDR-GX3). I have had one a few months, it’s an excellent machine, it does a first rate job of recording from TV, satellite or cable etc. I plug my digital camcorder into the thing, and its straight to DVD. Its odd but it does a far better job at making DVD’s than the PC, so much smoother but I guess that’s its job. PC’s are meant to do lots of things.

It’s easy to use; I only record onto DVD-RW’s and the TR plays them very well.

I use a Philips DVDR70 which is A DVD+RW and a DVD+RW in my desktop. I find the Philips great with my SKY+ box and often watch stuff on my TR that I have recorded.
