Excellent find. I’ll have to dig through the Japanese press releases (if any) to get more details on this system. It looks like they’ve taken some elements from the Z1. At any rate, the specs seem extremely aggressive (finally!) for a Sony.
Yeah, we’ll have to see what goodies they have in store for other designs. The Z1 probably won’t see too much of a drastic change but I’m anticipating that the 12” 505-series and the 10.6” TR-series will see a design refresh….or, at least that’s what I’m hoping for.
Long live the Pentium M! Also, I find it amusing that the Pentium M pet project done by their Israel based design team is now the future for Intel. They basically canned all further Pentium 4 development in favor of Pentium M based designs. Their Oregon design team now has a Pentium M/64-bit version in the works. This is good as Intel lost the handle on how to cool the Pentium 4 even after the die shrink to 0.09 microns.
