I admit that I haven’t put that much time into getting these things to work, but I did try without success.  If anyone has gotten these things to work, could you please say which guide you followed and perhaps info about your distro?

Sorry, about the first message here…that’s what happens when I go right to “Latest” and don’t look at the Index Title…

as far as the 1280 x 768 resolution is concerned, u just need to install the correct video drivers and things should be fine on next restart. You need to tell us more what exactly u are trying to do…did u do a complete reinstall of the OS from scratch and now r trying to get certain things to work ?

In my case, I did an install from scratch (like most other ppl on this forum) and the resolution was just 1024 x 768 till I installed the appropriate video drivers. It was also a major pain getting the camera, 4 buttons, fn keys, etc to function.

Oh sorry, I think I should have been a little more specific. 

My question should have been if anybody has gotten wireless to work with WPA and not just WEP?  Although, WEP would be ok, but I never got that working.

Also, Intel released drivers for the video chipset in the TR, I believe, so I was wondering if anybody got that working other than using the commercial XiG solution?

Nox, thanks for the linkage, I had participated in that thread actually and had forgotten about it because I recall that pheller didn’t get WEP working either. 

Anyway, I tried last month using the japanese guide linked here in some other thread, but I ran into the problem of my kernel not having some config_radio option or something.  I didn’t have the time to look into recompiling my kernel so I left it at that.

kuyars: no prob.  But instead of going natively, I decided to install coLinux on my machine, and it runs pretty well.  Search for it on the forum, or check colinux.org. I’ll try and do a TR-native linux kernel over the sumer, with all the features compiled in.  Too busy right now though, exams killing me.

Both components work for me on a Debian installation.  I have the widescreen display working using the XiG X server and the 802.11 card works fine using the MadWifi drivers (from http://sourceforge.net/projects/madwifi/ ).
