TR2AP3 on 1/24/04—bought direct from Sony Style for $2499.99 + $125 sales tax = $2624.99.  Got free shipping, $100 e-coupon, and 12 months 0% financing.

Not the best deal, but it is hard to find a P3 model and I need 1GB of RAM and XP Pro.

TR2A,  1700 USD + tax.  Early March ‘04.  Floor model at Fry’s.  Last one they had, and they wanted to get rid of it to eliminate confusion between the 2A and the 3A.

The TR3AP2 for $2049!

It came ‘refurbished’ - I can’t tell any difference from a new machine. I needed the 1 gig RAM and XP Pro for remote access, and this was the cheapest I could get it. *drool*

They’re also selling the TR1 for $1679, I think…I’m just lazy and didn’t want to install the extra memory myself.

I bought my TR3A at Circuit City for $2089.  It was originally $2199 but they priced matched/beat Fry’s price of $2099

I bought my TR3A for $2199 at CompUSA on February (Valentine’s Day :wink: ). I needed a pc right away because my Sony desktop was old and so slow! Had it for 8 years. I love the TR! It’s perfect and the right size for me :D

Lennie, Head back to CC as they have a $150 rebate starting today. you should be able to get a new reciept and save an extra $150!

2300 € in Hamburg from a friend who is also a Sony dealer. I got 300 € back through my “tourist” VAT refund for a final price of 2000 €!

The sonystyle people completely rip u off…I have a TR3AP3 and that would have costed me 3258 from Sonystyle…luckily I came across pricegrabber which directed to me to the best deal on the TR3AP3 available at newegg..finally I landed up spending 2845 for a TR3AP3.

While that is true, convenience is the name of the game for many people.  We all know those who will pay more with the source company than spend the TIME researching to save a few bucks.  $300-$400 is a lot to me and you, but not worth the time to others. 

This is partially the reason why Sony came out with the Qualia product line.  Some people will always buy Lexus over Toyota.  Why?  It’s the same car.  The answer: because THEY CAN. :wink:

How exactly does the price match system work ?...you buy some product from some store and if u find it at a lower price at some other store within a certain no. of days u call up the store from where u originally bought the stuff and after explaining to them they credit u the difference on the card that was used for making the purchase ?

or am i completely wrong ?
