I’ll jump in, just hope the resident guru does not slap me for my indiscretion
If you are talking about loading two different BT stacks in the same machine my guess is that it may be a little problematic as some element of the software are loaded as system services.
Now, if your question is if you can replace one BT stack with a different version or implementation to acquire additional functionality (more profiles), the answer is an absolute yes.
Keep in mind though that most stacks are based in Widcomm’s implementation and each is “branded” by the dongle manufacturer using the device BD address (like the MAC address on a network card). This means that if you have a linksys dongle chances are that the belkin version of the stack will not load, even when the software is made by the same firm (widcomm).
If you want to try the most compatible and complete stack I ever came across (the one that I currently use), go to http://www.ivtcorporation.com/products/bluesuit/indexsubproduct.htm and download the evaluation version of BlueSoleil. It’s fully functional but only allow you for 5MB transfer.
Should you have any additional questions, please feel free to ask.
