I was just snooping around, and noticed there are not any real good pics of the tr on the site, or on the net for that matter. I tried to take some detailed pics, forgot to do 1280 res, but oh well. Just got it this morning

I can’t believe that you’ve had your TR since this morning and you haven’t installed the internal Bluetooth yet!  Just kidding.  It is a great machine and I am sure you will enjoy it.

lol vaio jet, unfortunately i have no bluetooth devices at the moment, just got a moto v400, i knew i should have gone for the 600 w/ bluetooth but ended up with the infrared :(

ps, what bluetooth devices are you utilizing? i’m in the mood for more goodies

For folks who don’t have other Bluetooth devices yet but have IR type devices…you can buy $29-39 USB-to-IrDA devices which plug and play with Windows XP very nicely. In some cases, they’re more compatible than Bluetooth and easy to use.

I have one that I use for testing and it works fine with the IR ports on my phones and even with PDAs.

So, there’s still some wireless options available…

I don’t know why I didn’t think to look into that.  I have a Nokia phone that is not BT equipped but has IR functionality.  While I’m waiting for the next set of SE phones to come out in the US (other than T610/616/630) I might as well pick up the product you mentioned.  Swell idea my backflip friend! :D

What is that sticker on the top?(cover). Mine didn’t come with that , is it a disclaimer?, like don’t use tour TR underwater or only for home or office use, I wanted to use mine in the car occasionally!

avidpaker, i don’t have the black sticker on top when i bought it neither.

mine didnt have the sticker on the cover or also the one to the right of the touch pad on the plamrest. i’m sure it must be just some more advertisements like the one of the left for the privacy screen, extended battery and aditional ac adapter.

Also, if other folks want to post their own pictures then they can do so. Of course, this gets me thinking if there should be a “picture” section for the forum. It wouldn’t be exclusive but rather just pictures of the TR in action, in different locales, etc.

It probably doesn’t make a lot of sense to do it just yet…but I may do it in the future once I complete the overhaul of this site. Don’t worry, no major changes…just a clean up job.

Great shots. I have made my mind up to get a TR and it should be with me next Tuesday. What am going to do till then. I will just have to stare at these pics and use my imagination.

That looks better. How is your tibook holding up. I bypassed that model and waited for the albook as the chasis was so fragile. Everyone I know who owns one has had problems with the hindge cracking or all the ti paint flaking off.
