I have had some problems with DVD playback on my TR1 MP, mainly when playing a DVD through a projector during presentations. Playback has been a little slow and choppy, for a presenter, that’s embarrassing!

I meddled with the settings on windvd and media player, with minimal success. But now I have found out what was causing it!

While playing a dvd in my TR through a projector, I had been outputting to both the screen and the projector using the Intel dual display setting. Once I set the TR to just output to the projector the problem went, smooth as silk dvd playback!

Not sure of the technical reasons why, but just thought the info worth sharing, funny how simple it can be to sort problems out.

If any of you chaps know the reason, it would be nice to know!

Thats odd. I’ve used the TR with a projector and a standalone monitor…both ways it worked fine. Maybe it had something to do with the projector? I used a Viewsonic one.
