I know about the size issues—I was just kidding around that it took this long to find a cleaner for the regular MS—now how long will it take for the Duo version? Meant as an ironic-sardonic thing…
You got it—I also have a T1 and… oh well, I just have to make sure it doesn’t get dirty. Pretty easy anyhow, since the slot is so small and usually covered up, to boot…

Any problems with your T1? Would you get it again?
I’m looking at $450 shipped plus $180 back from Sony from my Sony Credit Card.
Wow, that is a super deal. I just picked up 3 in Hong Kong for friends in Europe. They seem pretty happy with it. I’m a bit more critical, since I use my camera daily: I had the F-55E (2 MP), then the F-55V (3.3 MP), then the FX-77 (4 MP). I was never happy with the latter, as the pictures were not nearly as good as the F-55V. No joke: everything was better on the FX-77 (faster, smaller, better options, fit in the hand, everything) except for the bloody pictures it took! I was never satisfied with it and it gave me a lot of grief. So I jumped on the T1 when it came out, since I really wanted to get away from the FX-77. And now I’m happy—I really feel it picks up where the F-55V left off. I’ve had mine since February and I’m really happy with it. The only thing I would point out is the need for a case, due to the sliding cover (check out the T11!), which was obviously also an issue on the U20… I got two U20’s for friends last year and noticed how quickly those sliding covers became loose when they had no cases.
I also just got a T1 and I got a case for it right away. I have never had a problem with slots for my memory sticks getting dirty. I have been using them for many years and so far no problem. I think the cleaning kit would be a good idea, just in case of contamination or other “MS slot invasion”. I got my cleaning kit in Japan a couple of years ago, so I’m not surprised to see them starting to show up here in the US.

I have a u20 since it came out, but I always had a case, no issues with it. I already have a buyer for it, $100, no MS.
I would go for the T11, but in order to get Sony to give me the $170 I need to buy it from a Authorized Retailer, which limits my options. Dell has a sale to bring the T1 down to $450…

Erik
So Dell is having a sale on the T1 for $450, and how are you getting $180 back from Sony?
Thanks
I have a Sony Credit Card…every purchase earns me Sony Points. I have over 17,000 points which is about $170-180 USD. I can either purchase from their catalog, or buy it with my CC at a store and they credit my CC the $170-180 when I submit the form.
