There is a star (*) next to 200 posts, but no explanation of such. Also, “Mystic Wanderer” and “Master of Mobility” are a little behind. I also assume custom titles were given out before the 1,000 post rule. So are jiggy and mr. rabbit grandfathered in? Just wondering…

Maybe the * stands for the point at which you can request a custom title?!?
The rankings have changed since the beginning of the site. It was originally a lot easier to get a custom title but I changed that since the site has grown so rapidly. With the way you guys/gals are posting it shouldn’t take too long to get there…
Sillyrabbitt and Jiggy got their titles before everyone else because they were instrumental in helping me get this site started.
I decided to set the custom title at 1000+. If you see the ranking post it mentions that you can send me a PM once you’ve reached 1000 (although I may PM you first if I see it) and submit your request.
It may seem high but a lot of you are on good pace to get it pretty soon. :wink:
I like the pre-defined titles and having them change every so often with increasing post count. Whatever happened to jiggy anyway? His zaniness is missed by some old-timers. :D
Yes, the Jigmaster has been hiding although I still see him posting occasionally on the Yahoo TR groups (I don’t know why). I’m sure he’s off on some of his adventures over there in Nepal.
Yeah, I’ll probably fill in more rank titles once I can think of more quirky titles. Yeah, the whole custom title thing may be moot anyways if I add it as a user configurable field (which is in the works). So you can have whatever custom title you want in addition to a post ranking.

Haha…nice. I forgot to mention…if you have ideas or suggestions for new rank titles then please feel free to share them. Though not a requirement, it would be nice if they are somehow related to themes here. For instance, sony stuff, vaio, trs, gadgets, digital geekery, etc. I’ll compile the list from here and then we can vote on which ones people like.
