I was looking around, trying to find a BT headset that might work better with the Bluespace software and internal BT module.  I was looking at this

I don’t think any of the BT headset works with BlueSpace because BlueSpace does not have the profile or know how to handle headset devices.

That is unfortunate.  It is funny that the BlueSpace software does recognize the headset (device) but not the service.  It even has the correct “headset” icon.  I guess we just have to wait for the next update to the software.

Are there any BT headsets that work with the TR? I was thinking of getting one so that I can do my internet phone stuff and not be tied to a cable… Anyone know?

That was exactly what I wanted to do too.  I have been able to use my Jabra BT200 headset with my Z1 and Linksys BT dongle (using Net2Phone)and it is a great advantage not to be tied to a corded headset.  That is why I was trying to get other BT software working on the TR, but no luck yet.  I won’t give up.  I will just be patient (not a strong suit of mine).

Just out of curiosity, how did you get the headset to work with the Z1 but not with the TR? Don’t they have the same software? Or is it a matter of one having internal BT and your TR not having it?

Also, do you know if this applies only to that specific headset or any headsets in general?

My TR is the European model, so I wonder if I would have the same issue with any BT headset…?

I am using the Widcomm software on my Z1 (it came with my Linksys BT dongle).  I tried to configure the software for the Sony dongle but had no luck.  I had the same problem with the internal BT module on the TR.  So the answer, with regard to the Z1 is different hardware and different software.
