The only issue I see now is that I want one for my Clie and another for my Laptop/Desktop and according to them the cables are not interchangable so i’d need to buy 2 keyboards at $99 each…eek.
Just got off the phone with level 2 support…the cable is removable but they will not sell extra cables yet..but they will soon…now I need to decide if I want to use it with my Clie or my PC first.
I’d love one of these for my work machine, but I’m way too used to split keyboards and number pads for quick numeric entry. With the technology they’re using it doesn’t seem like it would be too hard to have multiple keyboard styles or even to flip from split to numeric on the fly. I still might buy one just for the hell of it.

Looks cool…
My question is why you would want to use that on your desktop instead of a standard keyboard? Also, “feel” is a big part of typing—how do they get around this?
There is no feel…you need to be able to type without feeling…tough, but not impossible.
I’d like to use it on my desktop/laptop because when I type at night I like to see keys that I don’t use often. I have one of those keybaords that light up but I don’t really like them.
I like it when the keys go deep in..like a regular keyboard or the bigger laptops. On our TR’s the keys dont go that much deep in and thats one thing I still need to get used (not complaining though :|). And, on this one it wouldn’t go in at all…wonder how much time it would take me to get used to this one if I had to buy it. Anyway’s I’m sure its price will fall soon (just like the wireless keyboards and mouse combi’s which used to cost 100 at one time and now u could get those for 30-40 in the occasional deals).

This is cutting edge new…prices will fall but not for a long time. It is a niche market right now and eventually if this takes off it will be embedded in monitors and PDAs so add-on solutions will be limited.
I’ve had many many notebooks over the years so I am used to odd keyboards, my biggest complaint is hitting one odd key in the dark and getting the wrong one…that and this keyboard is high on the ‘holy $hit’ thats the coolest thing i’ve ever seen factor.

Indeed.
And that makes it worth the $100, right? Thats why most of us own TRs…we spend almost 2xs the money for small, cool-looking, notebooks.
