I was just wondering since I am still using my SRX7S/P as my everyday constant carry computer.  I love the TR but I am not sure about the whiteness… too Mac-like.  I am chomping at the bit for the new Dothan based TR successor whenever it is released.  It won’t be soon enough :?

I had an sr33..it died about a month ago, so thats why I’m here looking into the TR..
I wasn’t too fond of the colour either, but it seems to grow on you after you get a peak of that xbrite..

I have a trusty SR17K that has served me well since December 2000. Aside from the very loud hard drive, non-functioning PCMCIA slot, and missing backspace key, it does its job as a wireless media server. I remember being astonished at how thin and light it was, even though the battery life was horrible and the fan sounded like a hairdryer.

I had the old SR5K, which I just recently sold.  A great machine for it’s time.  Light and well built. 

After having the TR, however, the screen for the SR5K (800x600) was so grainy.

I also had the original 505’s which (as far as I know), started the sub 3 lb. notebooks.

I also had one of the original 505 notebooks.  It was not a bad little computer for it’s day.  I had it stolen though and I am waiting for a worthy tablet with which to replace it.

I had an SR27 a few years back. The size was perfect, although couldn’t understand why it had a really slow processor compared to other notebooks coming out at the time. It was pretty when sitting in my office, but it didn’t take my constant travelling very well. I donated it to a friend after 4 months and got a Dell.

i bought an sr17k right after i sold my N505VE, and it lasted me a whole month. i had it in my trunk because i had just left work that night and went straight to the club where i was going to dj at.. needless to say some jerkfaces decided that my car looked good to break into, so they broke in, stole my stereo, about 500 cds (2 cases of 250, most of them have still yet to be replaced due to the music being uber rare :( ), a pair of really cool shoes i had bought on south beach, and sure enough, they decided to check the trunk, and scored a lil’ bonus.

lil’ is an understatement.

when i got back to the car that night, i fell to my knees and i think i cried like a baby for about 3 hours, and then some when i woke up the next morning.

since then, i’ve had a Z505LS, a U3, and now the TR3AP2.

thank goodness i’ve moved from miami to utah, where i never have to worry about that kinda stuff happening, unless i go to ogden or west valley. other than that, i know my gadgets are safe here.
