Ok I just read my last post and realised it could be confusing so thought I’d do a proper ‘how to’:
First off find your new desktop image
Right click on your destop and choose properties
Click on ‘Desktop’ tag
In the background box select ‘None’ at the top
Click ‘Customise Desktop’
Click on the ‘Web’ tab
Click on ‘New’
Type in the location of your picture, or browse to it
Click ‘Ok’
It shoud now appear in your list of web pages with a tick next to it
Make sure that ‘Lock destop items’ is unchecked for now
Click ‘Ok’ twice to close all windows
You should now have you image on your background, but mine are always off to the lower right of my screen so to move them, hover over the image for a second and a boarder will apear around it.
Click on the arrow in the top left of the image and select ‘cover desktop’. Your image should now be in the correct place.
Finally go back and tick the ‘lock destop items’ box to stop yourself moving the image by accident.
While this may seem like a bit of a chore, it’s really not that bad, and the nice thing is that you save some memory and you can create your own list of pictures in the ‘web pages’ box, which means its quicker and easier to change your desktop once you’ve done it once.
You can have more than one ‘web page’ on your desktop and resize them as you like. A good suggestion would be one to this forum so that you can always see if there are any new posts :o
Well I think this post is long enough now so will stop….
