Ok, so this might be a silly set of questions, but I figured I’d ask anyway.

I know the difference between g and b in general, but….

* is there a difference between the wireless g found in the TR2AP3 and the b/g combo found in the TR3 series?

*Does the software automatically decide to do b or g?

*If I have a b/g combo on a g network, am I going to be slowing the whole network down or am I going to be just running g like everyone else?

I’ll try and help u out with the things I know.

1) All G adapters would have B functionality too to provide compatability with B networks. I doubt any G adapters would not have B functionality since most wireless networks are still B.

2) Doing a B or G depends on the network. If u have a G adapter on a B network then automatically u will connect to that network at 11 Mbps (B). While if u are in a G environment with a G adapter the card will connect at 54 Mbps (G). Vice-versa would also be true…except that with a B adapter u will always get B speeds only irrespective of the network.
