Anyone? Bueller?
I would love to get the english language power panel so i can see what the hell i am doing to my TR.
I probably have the hard disk set to standby when i open word.
I’m actually at a loss as to how you could convert Power Panel from Japanese to English, however, if you want, i could take screen captures from my use of the English powerpanel (as I have a TR3A + P) and you could compare it to your version, to match it up?
PM if you’re interested.
If he’s using the Japanese TR, a US or AU recovery CD isn’t going to do much good. They’re tied to the model name in the BIOS. A user here couldn’t even get the TR1AP CD to work on the TR1A.
hiya,
thanks for the kind offer - i may take you up on that. I have installed English OS’s and app’s on heaps of subnotes and had no troubles, this one appears to have some little interesting twists though.
I have an english power panel app for the Vaio PCG-U3 and U1 and it is an easy install. I haven’t been able to find the english one for the TR though. It actually looks identical to the U3’s though and i have a feeling it could even be the same app. It must exist in english as obviuosly lots of people have english language TR’s. I am going to keep experimenting, i just thought that there would be a website where you could download it as is the case with the U1, U3 and indeed the Libretto’s power management stuff.
D
got it. English language power panel. I just had to shut down the Japanese one, uninstall it via windows and install the new one. Running like a dream now
Thanks
