I finally got around to finishing the review on this possible case for the Sony VAIO TR notebook. Sorry for the delay on this but I’ve had babysitting duties for my niece and nephew and there’s no way I’d use my notebook in front of those two. It’s like terrible twos and terrible threes and the same time.

I may have missed a few things but I need to take a break. I’ll revisit it later once I drop the kids off with their parents.  :wink:

Great review.  Booq does good stuff.  I have their iPod case (the nylon, not the leather model) and it’s been very good to my little white noisemaking friend.  The combination of high quality materials and nice stylistic touches (like the magnetic “buttons” on the iPod case) really sets their products apart from the crowd.

I tried to order this bag but you can’t buy it outside of the US. I went to the links for the Austrlian distributors and all they had was a pic but no prices or ordering info. They never even responded to my emails

Thanks for the thorough review gr00vy0ne. I just placed an order for the black version. I had considered the Waterfield’s Vertigo series and also the new Sony VGP-MBC4 Porter bag. However, I reckon the Booq PowerSleeve 12 best suit my needs in terms of size, features and function.

My Booq PowerSleeve 12 [black color] arrived early this afternoon. Upon inspection, I was surprised by its sheer small size but I am thoroughly impressed with its build and quality. In addition, as mentioned in gr00vy0ne’s review, the PowerSleeve 12 does not provide snug fit for the TR series due to the fact it was designed for the Powerbook 12”. But this is just fine as I keep my TR5 first in the Shinza ZeroShock11 before slipping it into the Booq PowerSleeve 12.

Well, I am truly satisfied with this purchase and I highly recommend this bag to those looking for something small and compact.
