Now that some of the threads are getting longer and extending to multiple pages, I think it would be useful to have a link which goes directly to the last post in a thread. This could be in the form of a little icon next to the thread name.
Maybe I am missing something and this already exists?
Yeah, that would be great.
It works that way when I click to an article through My Yahoo RSS feed..
Or if you click on the little icon arrow next to the article name in the categories..
But you don’t have that option in the Last 5 Active posts..
If you look closely at those topics with a new reply you’ll see that there is a little yellow page before the topic title, if you click on that it’ll take you to the new post.
If you want to go to the last post of a topic without a new post then you can just jump to the last page with the page numbers under the topic title and scroll down a little.

I was not aware of the little yellow page link. Great tip, Mighty Matt, Thanks!
Well it’s nice to see that us newbies can still tell you more experienced members of the forum a few things
That’s what comes of clicking on everything when you first join somewhere… curiousity may have killed the cat but it keeps me distracted from doing my work!!
Ok, you asked for it and now I’ve done it. For the Last 5 Active Topics, when you click on the link it automatically takes you to the end of thread so you can start posting to your heart’s content.
Enjoy!
If you like the old way…then i can put it back and add an extra link to the latest thread…so, be vocal and let me know.
Dunno if this is happening with me only but sometimes clicking on any 1 of the 5 active posts DOESN’T take me to the last post and then a few secs later it starts working fine. Has anyone else also noticed the same ?
Yeah I had noticed that sometimes Rahul.
I’ve now got into the habit of just going into the forums with new posts (yellow pages to the left) and then using the little yellow pages by each topic with a new post to take me to the end. May seem like a little more work, but that way you can make sure that you don’t miss any posts you haven’t seen!

I know this has been said before but you may have missed it. The easiest way to see all the new posts is to click on Latest near the top. That way you don’t have to trawl through each forum. Then you can still use the little yellow page to go to the latest post.

Is everyone having issues with the links? On all of my test systems it seems to be working fine. There is a millisecond delay when the page loads as it needs to jump down to the appropriate reference.
For those who see issues…what browser are you running?
