Thought I’d create it’s own topic for this.

So…I want to BT enable my TR1A and will most likely get the Sony dongle for it (hey, it even looks good…).

Now..as far as printer goes..I already have one but it’s kinda on it’s last leg so I’m looking at getting a new one.

What printer would you guys (any other girls out there?) recommend if the criterias are (in order of importance);

1) Desktop space.
I want something AS COMPACT as possible (hey, that’s why I got the TR in the first place…let’s be consistent here) 

2) BT enabled.
I’m thinking this is less of an issue as any modern printer (I think) can be BT enabled through the use of a BT adapter.

3) Print Quality
Photo-quality printing would be great but if it makes the printer too big then that would have to give. 90% of what I print is documents, letters, etc - but if I would have the ability to print on photo paper I’m suuure I would start doing that as well

4) Looks
Cute..never hurts….

This is a hard question IMO.

Generally, cute small printers suck. They do basic color/b&w printing…thats about it.

I think BT can be added to any USB printer, so thats not a big deal.

Print quality usually goes to Cannon or Epson but you loose print speed and IMO dependability.

I love HP’s printers but they always loose to Cannon and Epson and even lexmark when it comes to print quality…I don’t care as much, if I want the photo I have a photo printer…

The latest issue (April ‘04) of “Laptop” magazine has a comparison between the Canon i80 and HP Deskjet 450wbt.  Both have a small footprint, Bluetooth (option on Canon) and (the mag says) good print quality.  They give the nod to the Canon after all things are considered.  The Canon was pricier after the added BT and optional battery.  I think I would get the Canon given the write-up (after a little more research).

Now that I have internal Bluetooth, I no longer need the Sony BT Dongle (PCGA-BA1/A).  I have only had it less than two months.  If you are interested, I will sell it at a good price, and I live in the bay area as well.
