How does check - and count - dead pixels?
Is it some program you guys run or….?

Oops… hit Submit too soon.  Wanted to add that you could do the same thing by creating a 1280x768 picture in Photoshop and using full screen mode to evaluate a canvas of solid red, then blue, then green, then white, then black.  Anything that stands out is a dead pixle ... or dust.

You will need to lookout for the dead pixels yourself.
