now that is seems that many of us have taken the dive to have internal bluetooth, the next logical step seems to be to get the front panel with the BT logo.

groovyone, didnt I read that you have a parts manual?  i wonder if its listed there.

i was taking a look at it the last time i was inside the machine and it seems that it wouldnt be an easy fix, looks like the logo panel sort of has melted tabs which might make removal a risky procedure.

if we cant get the actual panel, i wonder if its really a matter of ordering a new front (top) panel altogether, the trick being of course getting the right part no!!

Yes, I have a copy of the US TR1A/AP service manual. However, as it is a US released manual, it only has the part number for the US panel which is without the Bluetooth logo.

I am still researching it but not really. Personally, it’s not super high on my list of must haves right now.

I did have one other thought and that was to print out my own Bluetooth logo on a sheet of clean sticky paper and stick it where the blue light is. I was hoping to mask it in a way so that when the light is off, you can’t see the label; however, when you turn on the light it mysteriously shows up with the bluetooth logo. I sorta like the custom logo idea…afterall, we are customizing our TRs in a sense…or maybe I’m just watching too much of MTV’s Pimp My Rig (which is hilarious)...

i think a clean way to do that would be to cover the entire front facet of the logo panel.  in other words, then end result might be a long thin strip about 3” long x 3/8” tall with the BT logo about 3/4 to the right.  this way you dont see any cut out piece only over the BT logo.

This also can be done very easily without removing the cover of the TR. Just start at the top (touchpad part) and pry toward you in a level direction…the panel will just come off.
