Hi, I am considering getting a TR2AP and the 3 year waranty from CDW. If I were to add 512mb of RAM, would it void the warranty? Thanks for any help!
No.
Most companies have adopted the policy (as they know that people upgrade their computers) of maintaining a warantee on all components that originally shipped with the unit. So that new memory won’t be covered.
 ...I’ve never heard of such a thing.
:o ...The nerve! those companies should be shot.

I know. I was just using sarcasm. It’s one of my weaknesses.
There is a yes and no to the original question…
If it is the correct Memory type and installed correctly then warranty should be fine however…
If you put in the wrong type Or install it wrong and it damages then it is possible to void the warranty…however unlikely
