I have problem locating this cable in my country. Would anyone be so helpful to help me get 1 when ordering for yours? And send it to Singapore? In return, maybe I will pay for your cable?
Payment wise thru paypal?
Someone pls help me!! :( I’m collecting my BT module on monday but can’t locate the cable yet.
I just got my Bluetooth Module today from SparePartsWharehouse. I am still waiting for the coax cable. I don’t want to open up the case more than is necessary. I hope the cable shows up soon. I am getting impatient.
I just checked my own order at the Sony parts site and the status said “partial shipment”. Considering I only ordered one part, that’s kind of ... worrisome. :?
[quote author=“SpineDOc”]What is the exact part number for the cable? Inputting the ones in gr00vy0ne’s review yield an error on Sony’s site.
Are you sure you’re entering it correct? I just tried it and it works fine. You need to make sure you select the Part or Accessory Number before you do the search.
Well I just checked FedEx and it shows that BOTH cable and BlueTooth adapter arrived on Wednesday. Since I have not been at the office, I am not 100% sure. But will be going there in the next hour to check. Also the cable part number that was listed is the correct one and that is what I ordered through Sony with the adapter.
For those of you that have installed the BT upgrade…isn’t it great? I find myself using it all the time especially with Float’s Mobile Agent (to sync my phone and TR). Also, it’s also given me less reason to use my Sierra Wireless AirCard 750 since I can just dial-up to GPRS immediately without much hassle. Heck, I can even leave my phone in my pocket and connect. That’s extremely convenient!
Also, just turning it on make my MS Bluetooth mouse work. It simply works.
It still baffles me how Sony could have decided to not include this initially. It really is solid.
I canceled the cable order from Digikey, and reordered from Sony (the part number is correct). Anyway, although the website states that the cable is not in stock, the confirmation email said that it is in stock - who knows?
OK - we have a problem, Houston. I tried installing BlueSpace from the UK ftp site on my TR(xt), but the installation does not appreciate my XP build - SP2 v. 2096. It wants SP1.
Does anyone have any ideas as to a later BlueSpace build I could use?
To my knowledge, that is the latest version of Bluespace NE. Perhaps a new version will be released once SP2 is officially released later in June. I suspect Sony will have to release a new version by then.
Technically, you don’t need to have Bluespace NE installed to use the Bluetooth. Windows XP has built-in facilities to enable Bluetooth, do pairing, etc. Bluespace NE is just a “pretty face” interface that does the same thing.
