Hey, im new to this forum :D . Over the last week or so, the TR2MP has caught my eye, and i reckon i will buy one within the next few month. The thing is, i also started reading about the TR3, but cant find it at any UK retailers.
Does anybody know if/when the TR3 is going to be sold in the UK?

TR3 is the American version of TR2MP in UK, the only different is TR3 has the option to have the DVD-RW drive, also the TR2MP has the built-in Bluetooth whereas the TR3 has NO Bluetooth. You will never see TR3 in UK unless you import/bought it from US which will be ended up cheaper than to buy TR2MP in UK after paying the import duty and tax. I was considering to buy the TR3 at the beginning but I ended up with the TR2MP because I would prefer to have the built-in Bluetooth rather than having to carry the USB Bluetooth dongle, also I don’t really need the DVD-RW too. Or else, you can follow the ‘manual’ built-in Bluetooth upgrade as posted in this forum on the TR3 (if you dare…  :wink: ).

Thanks for clearing that up. Looks like ill be getting a TR2MP then :D:D. These little babies look f’in amazing. Im a gadget freak and i love stuff like this. Ive got a Clie SJ33 aswell.
I’ll be using mine for college primarily, which will be pretty damn sweet. Also gonna be using it for a bit of designing, as ill be hooking it up to an external monitor. Its quite a few months away but im pretty excited about it

I’m a gedget freak too..hahaa.. I bet the TR2MP is the best choice you can find out there in the market!  8)  I have no regret at all after having it for almost 2 months. This baby just always attracts people attention whenever and whevever you use it….all in all it is a decent powerful machine for all the work you need. Anyway, if you are doing much in designing, I bet you might need to upgrade your memory to 1GB for best performance in everything (like mine…hehe.. 8) ), I bought another 512MB of Kingston RAM from http://www.smcdirect.com, I think they have quite a good price. I also bought a Sony 17” LCD monitor which is in white colour that matched my TR2MP perfectly!  :mrgreen:

Hope you get it soon, as a gadget head I’m sure you will enjoy it like hell!
