  I am kind of curious to see how I measure up in typing speed against other TR users on this narrow, cramped, wobbling keyboard of ours. (Hey, at least it’s good looking!)

  Here are my test results—using a TR1MP with a Dvorak keyboard mapping—on a good day, I have even hit 375 kps/75 wpm..

I use a TR1AP with English with a normal keyboard mapping.

I didn’t register so it didn’t rate my words per minute. It did say 99% of users were faster then me, and 1% were slower.  :(  I picture the 1% as someone letting their parrot have a go, or the family cat walking across the keyboard.

I never took a typing course and consider myself a hunt-and-peck typist. I have, however, developed the unique skill of typing in bed with the laptop sitting on my stomach.

Have you ever considered learning the Dvorak keyboard?
Once you master it, it brings a 25% increase in typing speed,
50% reduction in typos and—you’ll never have to use a
password for your machine again!

It took me about 2 months to get up to my former Querty
speed, and I’ve been using it for years. It seems to strain
my hands less when typing as well, in addition to the above
benefits.. If you consider that you might be typing on
keyboards for the rest of your life (or at least until some
other computer-human interface comes along), it’s
probably time worth investing.

I’m sure some people won’t believe me, but I don’t feel like doing it again!
