Hey I have an old sony dsc-70, love the camera but its time to upgrade and I was wondering what some of you guys are using and ur opinion.  Right now im looking at the Coolpix 8700 and DSC-F828.  I am also really liking the DSC-T1 cause i can carry it every were.  I mostly use my cameras for close up of animals (reptile breeder), and occasionally scenery and family events.  Anyway any info would be a helpful having a hard time choosing here…lol

I have both the DSC-T1 (my everyday camera) and just recently got a DSC-F828 (my serious camera). I’ve been using a Sony DSC-F707 for the last two years so this is a nice upgrade. Since I just got the F828, I don’t have too much to say about it yet. It is nice though…the camera has nice heft and feels great. My initial impression is that it’s pretty awesome especially with the new 7x optical lens. Also, my external flash unit works with it as well as my assortment of 58mm filters and lenses. I’ll get a chance to put it through some paces this weekend when I’ll be in Las Vegas for a wedding.

Get a new Nikon D-SLR D70kit about the same price and size as Sony or even Coolpix 8700, but much better pictures(its like Honda and BMW -both good but ....)
