Hi all,

I’ve just managed to pick up an immaculate T2XP (not sure what the USA model no is).

The only trouble is that it’s missing a battery (which I’ve replaced) and also it’s hard disk.

Can anyone recommend a replacement hard drive for the T2XP? Does anyone know which model numbers will work? 40gb or 60gb is fine.

I’ve identified three possible drives so far. Does anyone know if these are compatible?

  Toshiba MK6008GAH - ZIF

  Toshiba MK6006GAH - ATA

  Toshiba MK4008GAH - ATA

Am I right in thinking that either of the last two ATA drives are fine and than the T series doesn’t support ZIF?

Any help would be appreciated.

late response, i know, but i just found this board with google. i hope you didn’t switch the email-notify off ;) and if somebody does that too in the future, here is the answer:

the us-version of the T2XP should be the T140P? (1.1ghz, 512ram, 40gb hdd)

you have to buy a harddrive with the ZIF (zero-insertion-force) for your T. it is the same with the T1XP and TX-series (TX2XP, TX5XP, and so on). the biggest one on the public market is 120GB. it should run in your model as well, since the better equiped version came with it. i will try to upgrade mine to 120GB soon too!
