I just noticed my right speakers aren’t producing any sounds, it’s all going thru the left speakers when I’m playing music using WM10 and SonicStage 2.1..  I’ve diagnosed a bit and I found out it’s software based as I try uping the volume and I can hear both speakers fine even plugging an earphone the sound I can hear only on the left earphone a small hiss on the right earphone though…  Anyone have experienced this type of dilemma before?

I am having the same problem, except there is sound coming from my right and not the left.  Does anyone know how to solve this problem?  I know the files aren’t the problem because they play normally on other devices.  I don’t know much about computers so any suggestions or advice on fixing this issue would be much appreciated.

Okay I think the problem is in the green headphone jack and not my laptop speakers or my external ones which also work fine.  The problem only occurs when I connect anything to the green input.  I can only get it to work by holding the cable sorta connected but not all the way in.  Once I let go of it the left audio is gone.  Anyone know how to repair this?

IMO, send back to get warranty if available or replace audio board unit.

Finally someone who had similar problems..  I’ve figured it for my part, it’s the software called All In One Codec (DivX) just set the adjustments to all normal.  So check your DivX programs/codecs.  It might be it. 8)

So I’m finally planning on fixing this.  I will buy the parts from nexttronics.  I have unplugged everything from the audio board unit except the speakers.  How do I unplug that, it doesn’t come out.

I have almost the same problem. wondering if anyoneo can help. My t250 speakers don’t work anymore. The other day it just made a cracking sound now both speaker (left and right side dont work). However when you plug it in the headphone… the sound is okay.

Does anyone know what part I have to change. What part is the speaker? I looked at http://site.nexttronicsparts.com/vgn-t30b.htm as reference. And from the picture it says it’s 538 I think but they don’t have it in the list. but on the table list it says part 549 (1-825-972-11) is speaker unit? Is that the small left and right speakers? I was wondering if anyone had experience with this and know which one to get .

Oh Archival, you have both a T250P and TX? This may sound really silly but would you please mind taking pictures of them next to each other if possible and also could you compare both machines for me please?  :D

Hm… seems like my t250 speakers are completley out, and it doesn’t even recognize in device manager. that means the soundboard is gone. Does anyone know how to replace this or is there a part number for it. Any help would be appreciated.

Sames thing happened to me on T350P!!! They just stopped working. Even if i set my BIOS to play the little VAIO startup sound, after I reboot, its turned to off.

I hope this an easy fix because i just got this thing like a year ago!

I had the same problem; I was only able to fix it by replacing the part.
