Seems like the MK8009GAH will fit the TR.  Over 2 years ago Toshiba announced they’re coming out with their 80gb version of the 1.8” form factor HDD, named MK8007GAH.  The name’s changed a bit, but looking at the pictures on ebay, it seems to be the real deal.  The price now, I must admit, is a shocker, as pre-orders online were going for as high as $650USD!!!  Still $150 is not cheap for a paltry 80gb, but if it means one more way to keep my TR3A “uptodate”, then I may go for it

Does someone could please confirm that MK8009GAH fits on vaio TR???

I’ve got 2 TRs - one with a Toshiba and one with a Hitachi - they use different interface cables.  These are the 30GB and 40GB - don’t know if the same cable is needed for the 80GB - s/b the same if it isn’t SATA.
