Greetings Everyone,

Just have a quick question.
what is that “dc out” port for on the left side of TR3A next to Ilink and USB?
what can be connected to it?

You can use the DC out to power the external DVDRW which matches the Sony Vaio.  This means that you do not need ext power supply to the DVDRW as well as the TR2MP - Of course if you have TR3 tyhen you don’t need to worry about ext DVDRW-

Just a thought - how does the Sony ext DVDRW for TR compare spec wise to the TR3 internal DVD burner :D

One difference would be that the external DVDRW can write DVD+RW, DVD+R, DVD-R, DVD-RW while the internal writer of the TR3AP3 can only write to DVD-R and DVD-RW. They both can write to CDR, CDRW and read from various DVD formats (am not too sure abt DVD RAM though).
