There’s new TX models now at Sonystyle with Vista preloaded, and the processor bumped to 1.33 ghz Core Solo ULV and the hard drive bumped to 100 gig.

Looks like they come with 2GB standard, plus Sprint EVDO builtin. No more Cingular option.

Rahulnirmal,

You’ve been floating around a loooooong time looking for the right ultralight. If this new TX isn’t it are there any others that interest you? Just curious, hope you don’t mind. Too bad no duo core yet though.

Personally I decided not to go ultralight this time around, needing more power and a bigger screen, since my eyes aren’t what they used to be. I am VERY happy with my Core 2 Duo 15” Macbook Pro 2.33 Ghz wth 256 ATI dedicated VRAM. Boot camp takes care of the XP side and my occasional desire for Windows 3D gaming. Here’s my new character who’s face I created in Oblivion:
