I have a Hitachi hard drive. How hard would it be to install this in my TR3?

I was hoping they will make it 5400rpm or even 7200rpm.
Maybe I’ll just get another external HD (those 2.5” HDD) with 7200rpm.

Some reports say the mk1011gah is “10% smaller”, so I’m wondering if this rules out its use in a tr (is it too small to fit on the tr hdd frame?).  Otherwise, I’ll welcome this with open arms:)  It’s worth noting that last time toshiba announced a new capacity 1.8” hdd (the mk8007gah), it took a full 2 years before we saw it on the market.  Most online reports are saying mass production will begin sometime this month

Pay attention disk MK4004GAH support AT(ATA-2/ATA-3/ATA-4/ATA-5), disks MK6006GAH,  MK8007GAH support AT(ATA-2/ATA-3/ATA-4/ATA-5/ATA-6), and the new MK1011GAH support only ATA-7.
What does it mean? Can we use MK1011GAH in Sony TR2?

MK1011GAH is significantly smaller than its predicessors:

MK1011GAH - 8x54x71
MK6006GAH - 8.0±0.15(h) x 54.0±0.2(w) x 78.5±0.3(d)mm

So, it begs the question, will it fit into our tr’s that have a large hdd bracket ... I’m sure we can modify the bracket if needed, provided the rest of the hardware is compatible with our notebooks (ATA-7??)
