I just received my Sandisk V-Mate video recorder! It records tv, dvd, vcr, satellite etc straight onto memory cards! IT has specific settings for psp or mobile phone. It records in 3GP and MP4. I am using it with my sony clie ux50 pda and it works seamlessly and with very smooth playback!
i would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoys tv or video on the go! i have been trying for ages to get good video on my pda using tons of computer conversion software, but there was always some problem or other! But this solves everything!
well i have to say i am definitely beginning to favour my m1210! I only bought the model with the 1.83 ghz core duo processor but boy does it outrun the tr! i use my camcorder a lot and so need a good comp. to convert my videos over an i-link cable. the tr did this fine but the m1210 is much faster. BUT i still really like my tr, the dell is chunky and pretty heavy considering itssize and i still take my tr whenever i travel. Oviously it should be expected that the dell would outperform the tr considering it is new and the tr is about 3/4 years old! but the camera in the dell is horrible! it is only good in a bright room with natural light. When it is dark outside and in artificial lighting the picture is grainy and looks terrible!
i would say, anyone looking for a lot more power in a small sapce, go for the m1210, but be prepared to lose some of the portability
On a separate note, how do you compare your TR against XPS 1210?
Here’s two pictures comparing the two.
I myself am an enormous fan of ultraportables, love them to death and the X1210 looks so big and chunky compared to the TR. But I would regretfully pick the M1210 because it offers so so so much more and is just a bit bigger.
sorry to hijack the thread but how about a new thread with a blow by blow compare of the TR and XPS? We can get the XPS here in Oz and it’s coming up to salary sacrifice time again….might be time to buy a new laptop.
