I see some of the posters have a signature in all their posts and others don’t. When I go to the PROFILE section I enable the button to always show my signature, but I don’t see an option anyone to create/write a signature. Am I missing something? Or maybe has the signature option been disabled and now no one can have a signature added to their posts?

In your Profile, it’s in the middle block of entries, a box at the bottom where you have 500 characters to write your signature.

Thx, what you says makes absolute sense and it it what I would have expected, but my profile section doesn’t have any box whatsoever for text. I wonder if it is because I am new? maybe new members have a different setup. Strange. Anyway, thanks!
