Hi Guys…New to Forum and have learned incredible amount from ya’ll! THANKS and please keep it up. Now the Question: Coming from a Sony 505 w/IR port, Printing to my HP 5MP was a piece of cake. Give some ideas on how to stay mobile with my TR3AP2 and use this printer. I know ya’ll will have GREAT Ideas and would like to thank you in advance!

They make 802.11b print servers…not cheap ~$125+, but it will make the printer wireless so you can print from anywhere you get 802.11b signals near your hub.

Another option is a external IR device to hook up to the TR.

Finally, if you have other computers, just hook the HP to one, share the printer, then use the TR to either wirelessly or ethernet connect to your network and print.

Personally, I have 2 printers and use a bit of both. My HP has a dedicated print server, wired, and my Minolta is connected to a Celeron 333 MHz which acts as a print sever (it was lying around and I didn’t want to spend another $150).

Another option…if you want to add even more devices…is to use Bluetooth.  You will need a dongle or PC card for the TR and also a Bluetooth print server.  Just in case you needed more choices.

Update…If (strike that)...WHEN gr00vy0ne finishes “The Bluetooth Project” you won’t need a dongle or PC card.  You will just need a BT print server.  How COOL.
