[quote author=“kuyars”]I installed Xandros 2.0 but as I’ve read, the native 1280x768 isn’t supported. I’m running it in 1024x768 and there are vertical black borders on the left and right side of the screen. Is there any way to fix it so that Linux uses the entire screen and not have these black borders? Would it help to move to another distro?
Another distribution won’t help.
The problem is that the XFree86 graphics driver that supports the Intel chipset does not seem to support the native resolution.
I’m convinced that it could with proper modelines which I’ll putz around with when I get my TR3A tomorrow.
In the mean time, AcceleratedX from XiGraphics will support this chipset and the native resolution. They have a free demo (limited to some finite number of minutes of run-time per invocation).
