I tried to showoff to my friend my the instantON feature on my TX670P but it no longer works.  I tried, reinstalling it from the recovery util and even download the updated version on the sony support site and having that installed.  Still no go.  Any ideas?

2 things, either you use Disk Cleanup (Windows feature) to have more hard disk space.  And you have Norton GoBack installed. 

If you use those 2 things/software then yeah it won’t run.  Me, I don’t use the InstantOn that much since I’m always in/using Windows.

Resolution for Disk Cleanup

1. go to C:\InstantOn
—>(hint: it’s a hidden folder so make your files to show all, check your Folder Options under View tab)

2. When you see the folder, then browse, if you see file names in blue, then it’s archived you have to select them all and check the Advanced Attributes and uncheck the box that says “Compress contents to save disk space” while all those files are selected.

that’s it.

Resolution for Norton GoBack

*If you don’t use GoBack as much as I do then disable or uninstall GoBack

*Disable GoBack once it’s disabled, you can use InstantOn again. 

And there might be some programs that you are using that runs first before InstantOn, check your programs and troubleshoot.
