A friend of mine came back from Africa with a few dozen MDs full of drum samples. Each sample is only a couple of seconds long, so the MDs have lots of track markers.
The question now is how can he get them onto CD? I tried connection the optical out from his console MD player into my computer, but my audio program wouldn’t recognise any track markers, it only digitised the entire MD as one audio track.
I also tried with a Sony MD application I found on Emule, but it seemed to be searching for a device through a USB port.
Is there a specific software that can do this? Does he need a specific player or one with a specific feature (USB?)? Unfortunately, I have next to no experience with MD.
