just checked some newsletters and found an article about new sony vaio model G-series, announced to be the lightest sony vaio business notebook with approx 898 gramms, afaik doesnt that title belong to the x505sp with 750g???  :shock:

up to 1024 x 768 pixels… What a turn off.

This seems very similar to the R505, which I owned for a good while.  At that size I think XGA is a good resolution.  It’s very readable which is good for folks that don’t have super eyesight.

Anyone that needs more than 1024 x 768 for a 10/12 inch monitor is just nitpicking.

Well, I’m one of them and I’m sure I’m far from alone.

That resolution just doesn’t belong in 2006.

Like one could live without widescreen.

I’m offically a widescreen whore. I need my widescreen baby.
Only problem is playing some full screen games/movies/wallpaper on it, either stretching it or having ugly bars on the sides but overall, I can never go back to fullscreen on laptops at least, desktops I’m fine with for now.

Sorry Boys, for my money I’d be getting the Panasonic R5. 2.2 pounds and 15 hours battery life!
