My +2 year old TR3 has been very slowly getting small black (shadow like) squiggly lines at a few points along the left side of the screen. It doesn’t look like the typical pixel burnout. Anyone have an idea what this might be?

Yes after looking at your screen picture I agree it’s the same. I’m also sure it’s not dust.
So.. what could it be ?

I simply don’t know what it is. Just a few light gray squiggly lines that perhaps has something to do with the film on the inside of the screen.
I have some instances of dead pixels that resemble the pic in linked thread on my old SRX, although the ‘lines’ aren’t nearly that long.
