In a different thread, I had complained about my Sony TX 670 laptop not recognizing a 4 GB SD card. I have currently sent in my laptop to Sony repair hoping for a fix on this.
A week prior, I had sent in the same laptop for a completely different problem. One day, mysteriously, my laptop simply would not turn on. The screen was completely dark and dead. Everything appeared to work, such as the light on the power button, plus the fan turning on, etc. But the screen was absolutely pitch black.
I sent in my laptop to Sony repair in San Diego, CA, since I only had it for the past 9 months. The laptop came back fixed in less than a week, and there was a repair sheet that said the “Motherboard” was replaced. Man, oh man! Isn’t a motherboard a major component to have to be replaced in such a short time of 9 months of little usage? I only use this laptop maybe a few times a month, if that even. I mainly use my desktop computers instead.
This is causing me to lose confidence in my laptop and/or Sony laptops in general. I now cannot trust this laptop to hold my information for too long. Good thing it came with a 3 year extended warranty upon purchase because I have a feeling I might need it!
