I very much doubt that the games you list will be playable at all on the TX - you require graphics with hardware transform and lighting for those titles, which the TX just hasn’t got.
The TX is not a gaming machine, although I’m having some fun with a number of 2d retro titles (stronghold, AOE 2, Baldurs Gate 2 etc), if you want to lay games then maybe you should be a considering an S series, which I think is actually cheaper than the TX.
As for fan noise - I’ve heard worse, my TX3’s fan noise is noticeable, but it doesn’t whine like my old S series did.
As for speed, I use mine for web development, and graphics work and its fine for both those tasks. The dual core SZ series will be MUCH faster however, and probably more suited to your needs based on your post.
