My silver hinge is scratched, I need the specific name of the silver colour to make it new, any help? Suggestions?

Try Nail Polish…so many colors i’m sure one matches closely. Then clear coat it.

yeah, nail polish or some touch-up paint for cars outa do.

Either that or buy a new hinge… gotta be hardcore to go through all that work to get rid of a scratch on the hinge though

hmf… the original paint does NOT hv clear coat… nail polish clear coat would look pretty darned weird, no? at least on the Mg it wil..

I want plastic paint, nail polish comes off and the coating is always thick.

Still nobody? I have lots of scratches on the screen cover and also on the magnesium housing.

I even have got a litlle crack on the magnesium housing.
So… I need to repaint both parts. Please dont try to talk me out of it.

I have painted my other Laptop before (that now looks like brand new) and I used to airbrush when I was younger…
Ive also already totally disambled my TR for fun. No problem.

What I need to know is the exact paint code… could somebody help me out???

All that I figured out so far is that the paint on the TR matches with the paint on the Clies UX50

I need to paint my TR too ..
But what can I do to find the color code .. Shall I ask car painters to scan the color of the TR by their expert computers to find the color code ? :idea:

I read from the forum that the color is Mg .. so is the only way to repaint the TR with its original color is by painting it with electrochemical methods ? :!:

For what I know the bottom case is made of Mg… not the paint :shock:
All the other case parts are supposed to be made of plastic. However… painting is not a big deal then. :oops:

Ive of course already thought about the car paint shop. I had them mixed my paint when I painted my expensive rims 8) Worked out fine.

When the paint matches 100% you dont even have to paint the whole part but only the damaged spot… nobody can see where you fixed your rim when doing it right.

The problem is that they can only find a color thats ALMOST matching the tr… not the exact one. So I would have to paint ALL parts in order to have a good look again. What scares me most are the plastic/ruber parts that cover the plugs. Im not sure wether they can hold the paint mixed by the car paint shop….

Aha .. So How about asking the company ( SONY ) for the original color code ?

But the question is .. How could we ask them ? .. or Who could ask them   ?
