Screen Resolution w/ XP Pro

Hey, I just updated to XP Pro, and i can’t get my screen resolution to widescreen, XP only sees a 1024/x768, not widescreen :(  Help?

Have you downloaded the updated drives from Intel for your video chipset?

I’ve seen that listed as a major help a lot on these boards.

just found the box to tick off for widescreen function

question: the widescreen function is not possible with 1280x768?

Box? Don’t you just set the resolution with the slider in Display properties? I think he just needs the 1280x768 LCD driver, which conveniently enough (in the Sony definition of the word) is not on the website, just the restore CDs.

i think they r referring to the mpeg’s not being displayed in widescreen mode in windows media player. does someone know of the setting which needs to be enabled in WMP to disp. mpegs in widescreen mode ?
