I want to get a pcmcia TV Card for my TR5 so i can copy films (Not box office ones!) recorded to my SKY+ box to my computer to burn onto DVD. With TV signals in the UK becoming Digital instead of analogue soon, would a cheap on such as this:

I was trying to watch TV on my laptop (I don’t need to record the shows on it like you do) and I bought a similar PCMCIA card (it says Baytech on the card that looks like the ones on eBay) and I was never able to get the sound to work. And the reception was extremely bad. Anyways, I’m getting the Locationfree TV (waiting for it to arrive) and will watch TV on my laptop transmitted via the internet.

Please let me know if you get good reception with those cards. Anyways, if I were you I’d go with the Slingbox or the Locationfree TV.
