I’ve had this pop-up balloon every time I copy files from either my built in CD/DVD drive or my external HD or from my external CD/DVD drive.  IF I copy anything to the C:\ It gives me that pop.. it constantly pops up every time there is an activity on the HD.
And also in the beginning there was an write delay error in the C:\$MFT.

So far Norton GoBack is able to help me go back to my previous working state.  Anyone had this annoying problem?

This problem could also be indicative of pending hardware failure. It’s could be that the hard disk is starting to fail. If you have any S.M.A.R.T testing programs you could see if it’s exhibiting problems. It might be something with the motherboard too but less likely.

Yup I’ve tried those, still nothing happens..  :(

Anyway I’ve found the culprit it was Perfect Disk, so I let Windows manage the layout.inf files or something and I don’t get it anymore.. after I defraged it from a good state.  And also some registry tweaks I’ve disabled and reanabled and let Cacheman handle the page files and RAM.  now it’s even better..  I’ve connected everythign for the past 3 days no shutdowns and restarted and copied large amount of files and no pop of windows delayed write!! I even played some mp3s while copying and openned IE7 beta no probelm and burning cds..  Now I’m happy go lucky
