I have just been given (FOR FREE) a t2xp, this is a british model - 60gb hdd, 512ram 1.2 ghz.

I was just wondering, apparently you can watch dvd’s on it without starting windows, how do you do this? does it save battery?

Yes, you should be able to watch DVDs without booting to the OS with the help of the AV Mode. I am sure you have figured it out. If not, see a manual for it online.
