Hi forum !

I have a big problem with dust or something like that .. which appears underneath my LCD screen .. What can I do to solve that ?!

Please I don’t want to hear this answer ( send it to your sony agency ) .. and don’t ask me why

Because in my country ( Kuwait ) there’s no sony agency :(

Well I don’t think LCD dissaembly is really an option for you (maybe it is).  Even if you were near a repair center the warrantee is probably expired… sounds like you’re screwed.

I’ve carefully inspected the ‘naked’ LCD on the TR series and I really don’t believe there’s any way to remove the front glass shield.  There’s a metal frame you could remove—but only after carefully disassembling some delicate circuit boards.  The glass seems to be part of the unit itself.

Annoying, because during a trip to Sony Service my TR1A got a mark on the inside of the glass.  Who knows how—perhaps a sharp object struck the outside and created the damage inside?  Either that or they broke my original screen and replaced it with one with a manufacturing defect…

Yeah .. So the only way to remove this small lines that drove me up a wall is to remove the whole LCD unit .. It sounds that it’s a project for paying +500$ to replace it   :cry:  ..
