there have been so many discussions around adding BT to sony notebooks, when i ran across this today (and ordered one), i thought i’d post about it…more to come when i get this and play w/ it.
but…
after searching high and low for a cheaper (and easier) solution to BT on my S260P, i finally decided to just buy a cheap billionton pcmcia adapter for the time being, until i splurged for a SZ or just held out for the next generation of S w/ 802.11n draft or something…anyway…
when i went to semsons.com to order one (billionton pcmcia bluetooth), i discovered that they now had a 2.0+edr unit out for the same price…this thing had to JUST come out b/c i’ve been looking at this stuff from time to time, hoping for a better (or newer) solution.
looks like it comes w/ the toshiba stack, which a number of folks here are using…
for 1/2 to 1/3 of the price of the internal upgrade, and to get a class 1 device in 2.0+edr, and the fact that i don’t have to mess w/ the innards of my notebook…not a bad deal…
