o man.. this card just does NOT like to be recognized after i hibernate/suspend. i’d pop it in/out, disable/re-enable the ricoh PCMCIA controller (in hardware control), all to no avail.

until i do a power off/power on. i just ordered a new Sony Ericsson GC82 (to get the EDGE speed instead of this 52kbps POS), and i really really hope it doesn’t have the same prob as his GC79 card which always work fine in my Dell Inspiron

could it be the TR3A’s PCMCIA going bad? it seems to work fine w/ some other cards i use…

I ‘d think it is the driver responsible for not waking up correctly. Of course I cannot make 100% connection between windows drivers and linux drivers, but with Linux, I had many such experiences. Usually the driver is still in an experimental stage, etc, and the wake up is not implemented, or the driver is screwed up in code.

I would look for a driver update. Since you say the other PCMCIA cards wake up just fine, I wouldnt think about blaming your PCMCIA slot.
